Manson 58, Waterville 53

Coach Newman reports:

We had a very hard fought battle with Waterville on Saturday night.  It was a back and forth battle for most of it.  We had some very solid play from Ty Harding, Javier Guillen, and Alex Vanderholm.  We once again created our offense from our defense and have been pushing the tempo of the game to our liking.  We went deep into our bench throughout the entire night and every player got some quality playing time. 

With 1:00 left in the game and some costly turnovers Waterville was able to pull to within 3.  At that point we refocused and kept control of the game hitting a few free throws down the stretch.

Overall it was a much improved and positive learning experience for the Trojans.  Up next is a truly experienced team in ACH.
