Chelan softball team playing despite losses

On Saturday, April 16, Chelan’s Lady Goats traveled to Cashmere and played Nooksack Valley in an exciting game. “It was a great game,” reported Tracy Williams. “It turned into a five run inning for Nooksack Valley.” Chelan led this game 5-3 going into the fifth, but Nooksack had two walks and a hit to load up the bases.

Nooksack scored a run on a Chelan error and then a Nooksack hitter had a three-run homerun to help lift Nooksack to an 8-5 win over the Goats. 

Both Teams scored a run in the 7th inning to make the final score.

Courtney Dietrich  - 4-4 with an RBI and 2 runs scored

Lindsey Fox  -  2-4 with 2 runs scored and 4 stolen bases

Cari Williams -  2-4 with a double, 1 RBI and 1 stolen base

Dani Smythe – 2-4 with a double and triple and 1 RBI

Pitching:

Dani Smythe  7IP giving up 11 hits, 2 bases on balls, 5 strikeouts and 5 earned runs.

On Tuesday, April 12, the Lady Goats traveled to Omak and lost a hard fought game to the Pioneers 10-2

Chelan hosts Tonasket on Tuesday, April 19, at 4 p.m.
