Chelan soccer team runs record to 6-0.

“Chelan played a beautiful game today,” wrote assistant coach Jim Broome. “All players gave everything they had… even the players from the bench contributed to this win.” Then Tonasket Tigers ended up on the losing side 8-0.
Senior captain, Paco Sanchez took a penalty kick seven minutes into the game and Tonasket’s keeper made the save, but couldn’t hold onto the ball. Paco recoverd the errant ball and knocked it into the net for Chelan’s first goal.
Alejandro Angulo got an assist off Guada Cardenas in the 32nd minute to score Chelan’s second goal. Angulo turned around two minutes later and assisted Eleaza Galvan for Chelan’s third goal of the game. Chelan’s fourth goal came just before the first half when junior defender Raven Berman scored with a 25-yard shot to the far post.
In the second half, Eleazar Galvan started the scoring with his second goal of the game in the 47th minute off an assist from Alejandro Angulo. A minute later Guada Cardenas added the 6th goal and two minutes later Angulo added his second goal of the game.
Senior Captain JJ Ramirez scored the final goal 57minutes into this game.
Defensively junior goalkeeper Ruben Medina has been solid and recorded another shutout with this game. Chelan’s record going into the spring break was 6-0. They will hit the field again in Omak against the Pioneers on April 12.
Chelan’s JV played Tonasket’s JV with 7 players v 7 Tiger players and won their match 5-0. The JV played Wenatchee’s C squad on April 5 in Wenatchee.
