Okanogan 3 – Manson 2   (Overtime) District Play-off

Coach Thomas reports:

Saturday May 7^th, Manson traveled to Okanogan to play the first round of the Tri-District Play-off. Manson got the first goal at the 17 minute mark when Cristian Montes took a long pass from Jesus Lopez and beat the Okanogan goalkeeper. Right before half at the 40 minute mark Okanogan’s Jason Perez evened the score with a breakaway goal. Okanogan took the lead 11 minute into the second half on a goal by Justin Rivas. Manson’s Miguel Lopez tied the game in the 71^st minute and the game ended 2 – 2. Just 2 minutes into the golden goal over-time.Manson’s Salvador Leyva had another great game in goal with nine saves including a penalty shot stop in the second half.

Okanogan got a direct free kick on the 18 yard box and scored to give Okanogan the win; they move on in tournament play while Manson’s season is finished.
