Manson Track Team compete at Bridgeport

Coach Toolson reports:

On Tuesday, May 3, Manson Track and Field competed in the Bridgeport Invitational against 20 other schools.  We had some great results.  The boys team placed in 9th place overall and the girls team 14th.

Some of the individual highlights:

1.  Our highest placer was Casey Sorensen with a 2nd place finish in the shot put with a 3 foot pr, breaking the 40' barrier for the first time.

2. Also placing and scoring team points were:

Marcus Vanderholm- 3rd place in the 800m

Jesse Russell- 4th place in the 1600m

Alex Vanderholm- 6th place in the discus

Casey Sorensen- 5th place in the discus

Maria Chavolla- 5th place in the 3200

Boys 4x400 relay- 2nd place (Ty Harding, Paul Toolson, Jesse Russell, and Marcus Vanderholm)

3.  Getting personal bests this meet:

Juan Chavolla in the 1600.

Alex Espinoza in the 200 and long jump

Bridger Machus in the 200

Paul Toolson in the 200

Marcus Vanderholm in the shot put

Itzel Castro in the discus

Mackenzie Gallaher in the discus

Adriana Guzman in the 200 and 400

Thalia Lepley in the 1600 and discus

We have had several athletes out with injuries and we hope to have them back by Friday.  That is our last regular season meet at Liberty Bell.
