First round of the Tri-District Soccer Tournament

Saturday May 8^th Manson Boys Soccer team traveled to Lakeside to play the first round of the Tri-District Tournament. Manson won 4 – 1. Lakeside took the early lead scoring at the 13 minute mark. Ten minutes later Manson’s Rolan Alejo evened the score with a goal on a nice assist from Miguel Lopez. Jesus Sanchez scored to put Manson in the lead at the 36 minute mark on a pass from Angel Angulo.The score stayed 2 – 1 for quite a while including a brief hail storm. At the 75^th minute mark Jesus Sanchez scored again to make the score 3 – 1. Miguel Lopez finished the scoring with a goal in the 80^th minute assisted by Rolan Alejo. Octavio Lopez and Salvador Leyva each played a half in goal with 3 saves for Octavio and 2 saves for Salvador.

Manson plays next on Tuesday, May 11th at home against the winner of the Brewster – Cascade game.
