This was a fun game for the kids even though we lost. This game came at a perfect time for us, we were really hoping to get everyone some playing time, because how hard everyone was working during practice. It was also great to see another pitcher get some innings and prove that we will be competitive next year. We got a great outing from Stellan Giffin on the mound. Travis Pittman came off the bench to make a great catch in right-field and get a double play started. Nathan Coggins made some great throws on runners trying to steal both second and third base. Cameron Peters hit the ball really well today, but only got one hit to show for it, because unfortunately he was robbed of a very well hit ball to straight away center-field in the first inning. Nathan Coggins also really hit the ball well today and got a double to show for it. Stellan Giffin helped himself at the plate with a double and a run scored. The problem today for us was that we just didn’t get a lot of runners on base and we made way too many errors. Another problem for us lately has been injuries and we lost another one, as Blake Callison broke his hand tonight. This really stinks for him and us because he was really starting to hit the ball. We have a much bigger double-header on Tuesday against Liberty Bell with both games having huge playoff implications. It sure would be great to see ALL of Manson at the games!
