Chelan Goats defeat Freeman 70-56, earning the Regional Championship and the #1 Seed to the State Tournament and have drawn Vashon Island for the first game on Wednesday Night at 9:00 p.m.

Chelan Boys defeat Freeman 70-56, earn right to #1seed at State Tournament and were Regional Champions.  Since this video and the game, the Goats have found out that they have drawn Vashon Island as their first opponent at 9:00 p.m. Wednesday 

Chelan boys have an incredible game against a strong opponent in Freeman Scotties.  But they just were not strong enough as the boys were up at one point late in the 2nd half by 30 plus points.  Chelan held just a short advantage in height, however they were clearly the more athletic team.  Although Joe Harris had his usual outstanding game with 36 points and a number of rebounds, all members of the team made a strong contribution.  GoLakeChelan's Dave Rogge was there and caught all of the action on video camera he focused his report on the end of the game and the collection of the awards and net cutting.  Unfortunately we were unable to catch up with Coach Harris for comments, however he assures us he will provide some comments this week at the Player Rally on Monday Evening at the High School Commons.  The entire community is invited to come and enjoy some Apple Crisp and Ice Cream and talk with the players and coaches first hand.
