The Lady Goats captured the District Championship on Friday night in Omak against a tough Tonasket team 43-37.

Chelan's Lady Goats played a tough game against the only team who beat them this year
and emerged as the District VI Champions.
The statistics tell the story. Chelan's offense in the second quarter of play totally took the Tigers out of their game. Chelan shut them down and allowed only four points while going on a nine point run.
Jaicee Harris pulled down 11 rebounds and Kelli Bowers put up a game high 19 points.
Tonasket came back in the third and fourth quarter and played well against Chelan but couldn't make up the difference Chelan's offense provided in the second quarter. Chelan hung on to win the District Championship 43-37 and will now play at home on Tuesday evening beginning at 6 p.m. against the Okanogan Bulldogs.
