The Omak Pioneers didn’t have a chance against the Chelan Goats on Saturday night on Chelan’s home court. “It was over after the first quarter,” said stat keeper Tracy Williams.
While Joe Harris continues to dominate the court with game high scores, Derrick Talley made his presence known with 13 points. This was Talley’s second game back from his football ankle injury and will definitely help the Goats as they wind the season down towards the playoffs.
Also in double figures on Saturday night were Evan Reister and Josh Burbery, both with 10 points. Mat Engstrom came up big on the rebounding side of this game with 15 total rebounds to go with is eight points.
The Goats travel to Cascade this coming Wednesday evening but are home again for the annual “Turn Back The Clock” game in the Chelan Community Gymnasium on Saturday night against the Lake Roosevelt Raiders. It is always a great game to attend. Something about the old gymnasium that cranks up the excitement.
