Chelan’s Lady Goats began their quest for a trophy at the WIAA 1A State Volleyball Championships in Yakima’s SunDome this morning, November 14, against Goldendale, coming up with a win 25-22, 20-25, 25-20, 25-17.
Tracy Williams, our photographer on the ground said, “Jamie Brunner and Jaicee Harris controlled the net, hitting hard all the way through the match. Sydeny Austin got to everything in the back row and played an outstanding game.”
Tracy reported that there were some initial nerves on the team, but says they are over that now. “Goldendale was a very good team, but we just stayed on top of them throughout the match and made big play after big play, from saving the ball in the back row to hitting it down hard for the kill.”

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARI FROM THE CREW AT GOLAKECHELAN.
Chelan will face Cedar Park Christian at 3:30 p.m. today. GoLakeChelan will report to you as soon as we know the status of those games.
“Goldendale played Cedar Park in a non-league game earlier in the year and beat them in five games, so I expect that we’ll be up against another quality team at 3:30,” said Williams.
Happy, Happy Birthday Cari Jo
