60th Annual Lake Chelan Horticulture Day

The 60th Annual Lake Chelan Horticulture Day was held Monday January 16, 2006 at the Chelan High School. I braved the snowy weather and walked across the bridge from my home to the High School with my GLC.com camera and took some photos. I only saw three people I knew and took photos of two of them, see below. Probably were more people in the PAC taking in the talk session while I was there that I know. The event is co-sponsored by the Lake Chelan Fieldman's Assoc. and WSU Extension Cooperating agencies: WSU, U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, and Chelan-Douglas Counties. I got a number of pictures of the trade show held in the commons area. Appeared to be a good turnout, the parking lots were full and maybe the bad weather helped that.

Most have been removed Oct 2006!
I ate on of these and they are quite good. The name does not refer to the taste. I remember this as being called "fruit leather" when I worked for Valley Evaporating Company many years ago.

The Trade Show was in the Commons area while in the PAC there were talks on such topics as "Pest Management and Trade Issues"

One fellow noticed he was in camera range!
Not all the items on display would fit inside so they got a bit snowy in the parking lot
